As now more than half the world population live in cities, the change in the "system failure" mentioned by Indra Nooyi needs a strong comitment of local authorities in order to organize and manage efficient and resilient food system. Companies, like PepsiCo, need to work with the local governments in order to find synergies between the public policies and private activities. It will be particularly useful for planning and construction of wholesale markets and warehousing.
