The IFPRI 2020 Conference brought together about 1,000 people from over 65 countries to discuss how agriculture can be leveraged for better nutrition and health. Conferees represented agriculture, nutrition, health, and other development sectors and a wide range of actors, including government, nonprofit, private sector, donor, and academia.
The conference program featured about 150 chairs, speakers, and rapporteurs in 5 plenary and 15 parallel sessions. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh gave the inaugural address. Keynote speakers included the former President of Ghana John Kufour and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
